One Of The Best Days I've Had

Earwax: Hoobastank's 'The Reason'. Doug Robb looks good.
Eyeboogers: Paulo Coelho - The Alchemist

Why?

- In the the space of 24 hours, I've slept for at least 16.

- Not only is Hanson back, but so is The Streets.

- And of course, there's that brilliant dude Jamie Cullum.

- Buffy and Angel is coming back on TV.

- The rain outside is the perfect setting for my playlist which includes Damien Rice, Jeff Buckley, Howie Day and Gavin DeGraw.

- I am stuffed to the gills with my old-skool fried rice.

Life is gorgeous.

Oh, and just because I'm so happy, here's a revised list of CDs that I want (an *denotes forthcoming purchases, hopefully in two weeks time):

*Black Lab - Your Body Above Me
*The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead
Gavin DeGraw - Chariot
Jamie Cullum - Twentysomething
Hanson - Underneath
Howie Day - Stop All The World Now
Anthony Stewart Head - Music For Elevators
Black Keys - Thickfreakness
Turin Brakes - Ether Song

..It Will Save Clothes From Being Stained With Brains..

I drove home on truck-filled winding roads at an average of 80 km/h whilst being half asleep. I think I ran over a couple of sparrows (forgive me God) and managed to incur the wrath of neighborhood moms*.

Blargh. Going to nap now.

*Note: See, I live next to a rather king-sized playground and these kids were just hurtling across the street without caring to look. So I rolled down the windows and yelled, 'Kalau nak lari tu tengoklah jalan!' (If you wanna run across the street, look!) Not very threatening but it was the first thing that came to mind. Kids have a problem of thinking they're invincible. That is, until it's too late and their moms have to figure out whether dry-cleaning can clean brains out of Pokemon t-shirts.

Ambition Is Good. Working Towards It Is Better.

Eyeboogers: Compiling my ultimate wishlist. I need about RM10,000 to get everything I want, among them a Q subscription, a turntable and a Lomo camera or two.

I'm rearranging this site a bit. It's going to more than a blog, it's going to be my digital storage area of sorts where I can scan in my classwork, display art that I happen upon while surfing, post my words aside from blogging. A tad ambitious, but I'm finally on track to 'nurturing' my site, so as usual, just hang in there, and it'll all fall into place.

You Don't Really Need To Read This

Earwax: After having ears so clean they were getting dusty, I have a sudden opposite-exodus of sorts (inodus?) of new/old/somewhere-in-between music courtesy of a dear littlefaerie. Currently listening to a mix CD by aforementioned faerie and going to plow through the jumble of mp3s I copied later.

Updates are kinda trickling in these few days.. I used to blabber so much, but now I've resorted to one-liner posts. In a hormonal funk, will get out of it soon.

Been squeezing in hanging out sessions with folks I haven't seen in ages. Just saw Eleanor today, wasn't too bad after all. Going to meet up with Hanis tomorrow to get the scoop on the girl he's going after now, and next Saturday is going to be Shah and Thye Sim, both of whom are supremely annoyed that ever sinced I've practically gotten hitched, they haven't seen hide nor hair of me. Hee. Guess you could say I'm too busy meeting real, tangible people lately. I love you all though, pwomise. ^_^

Proper entries will be coming in a bit. I'm not in a very juicy mode creative-wise these days, so just chill and they'll be there.

p/s: Yet another revamp, as you can see. I needed to clean up the clutter in here, and as a result, it's so clear, it's glaring.
p/p/s: I've been scanning stuff for an English presentation, so I'm just gonna dump them in the gallery in a day or two. Brilliant Brazilian arts and crafts for your viewing pleasure.
p/p/s: I think I'm getting old. Evidence? Been listening to Mix FM a lot lately.

NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THEY VOTED JON PETER LEWIS OUT!!! NO!!! IT WAS RIGGED!!! I SWEAR!!! NO!!!!!!

Dum Dee Dee Dum

My goodness. Gah. Entries are very scarce these few days, no? Work has been slowly but surely creeping up and I need to get it all out of the way. I used to scribble lines here and there and collect them to post, but lately it's been sketches for my projects. Maybe I should put those up. Anybody know of a good sketchblog, if there is such a thing?

Updates, Updates

- I've added a photos section, finally :) Spent Saturday morning sneaking pictures into the scanner while CAD class was going on.

- I'm listening to Epitonic.com's radio, brilliantness for the stick-nose-up-in-air music elitists.

- I've got to go because a class just squandered the labs. Gah. See you guys later.

Daymares

I had quite a strange dream this morning. Saiful was running away from my mom, as per usual, but the wierd part was that Paul Reiser and Laura San Giacomo were saving the day. I can understand seeing Maya Gallo since I watch Just Shoot Me almost every damn day, but Paul Reiser? I haven't watched an episode of Mad About You since 1997.

Miss Me?

Damn, I haven't blogged in ages. I have a good excuse though, my room is a complete wreck. I just got my new built-in closets but my bookcase hasn't arrived yet so I'm in the midst of reorganizing my storage. It's amazing, the amount of junk I've accumulated in my life. From little paper bags I've found from my family's stint in upstate New York in the '70s to my new Framat storage I got from Ikea yesterday, my room is an exploding clutter fest. Wouldn't give anything away though. My dad's been trying to get me to sort out old books so we can sell them, and I'm like, 'No!! Not the books!! We can't sell the books!!' Go figure.

Speaking of which, Eleanor and I are going to hang out this weekend. O_o What have the seasons of change wrecked upon us? We shall wait and see. Wish me luck...

People Seem To Have Forgotten It's April Fool's Day

Earwax: Something Corporate - North

Let me run a situation by you. Completely hypothetical, mind you. *ahem* If a girl is doing all of the following things, is she crushing or not?

- before she meets him, she checks whether her makeup is properly smudged
- she constantly tucks her hair behind her ear
- she always averts her eyes so she doesn't meet his gorgeous gaze
- she giggles
- her sister has taken to doing impressions of her on the phone with aforementioned guy
- she talks about him incessantly, from the way he makes great coffee to the way he looks good when smoking, of all things

Okay, so maybe not so hypothetical. But come on. Wake up and smell the cafe au lait. So what if he doesn't like her back, right? If crushes were easier they'd be call something different.

But do tell me what you think. I don't want to be the only on thinking that she should be healthily crushing.

"It's not as flattering as when a girl looks at you in the supermarket or wherever you are and kind of tucks her hair behind her ear. That is a whole different thing. When that happens, I have to change my pants... Oh come on, you girls know that when you bite your lip and tuck your hair behind your ear, you seal the deal."
– John Mayer on Crazewire interview

Goodness Me, It's April Fool's Day.

Earwax: John Mayer - Heavier Things. Quite apt, since the cover seems to show that he's constipated.

1) OK, the next Charmed episode is complete baloney, not that I even follow the show, but oh well.

2) Alyssa's done a vewy vewy bad thing. Read about it here.

3) I might be going to New York at the end of this year. If I save up enough cash, which is highly unlikely. Maybe I should just save a New York trip with my friends after I get married or something instead of wasting it on my mom, who'll invariably piss me off somewhere at the start of the trip and blame me for everything that goes wrong thereafter. I do not want to taint my rose-tinted visions of NY with annoying arguments with Akasha not-so-dearest, so I think I probably will not go.
So let me rephrase it: my mom thinks that we might be going to New York at the end of this year. How's that?
